Lesson learned
Don't wait for the rain to stop just get out there and run anyway. I waited and waited and waited and finally I ran in the rain. It wasn't so bad. At least it was warm.
I never though t I'd say this, but I'm learning to love the rain too. I just sat through 5 hours of intermittent downpour but a constant rain while in Seattle at an outdoor concert, listening to Lyle lovett and kd lang; I kept thinking about all the folks that have no choice but to work through the rain- and the athletes who have to race in it or play football in it or climb, jump, crawl, you name it, in it. Good for you for getting out and embracing the warm water.
