I'm contemplating a full marathon for the fall, but I have so much doubt. Why? I'm unsure really. It's that big commitment in training that I'd have to take and there's so much I want to work on like strength training, more yoga etc etc. How can I squeeze this all in to my schedule? I've done it before so why not again? More thought is needed on this.
db seems to be thinking about a half marathon at the same time. Actually that would be very cool to have those training sessions together again. I enjoyed running with db last year and was so proud of his effort last year.
Like I said I'll have to think about all of this some more. However, I suspect that already I'm leaning towards a 'yes' on this one.

Go on... you know you want to! ;D
Hey, sp! Maybe you could try the FIRST training system? My former trainer was a big advocate of it. They have a marathon training system that is just three days of running per week and everything else is cross-training:

I say go for it. What have you got to lose? Plus training time with db! And like Red said...you know you want to! Do you have a particular one in mind? Victoria is October 12 - a great way to spend Thanksgiving!
Yeah I'm probably going to go for it.
Karen, I am thinking of Victoria. I was hoping to go to Portland, but they don't have a half marathon so db wouldn't benefit. So it looks like Victoria it is.
vegan run amok, I trained for my last marathon that way and have followed that training method for a few runs. Thanks for the link I'll check it out.
